How to Convert Moneylines
Here's a neat little rig that helps you with your handicapping by helping you, at a glance, figure out whether or not you've got an edge. See the instructions below.
NOTE: This calculator does not take into effect the 10 cent juice, but instead handles it as if this were a perfect world. Also, it can only handle actual percentages, so don't try to put ".575" in there. Instead, type in "57.5".

Money Line Converter Instructions

To convert winning probability into a money line: Say you've done your homework and you've decided that Team A has a 58.5% chance of winning their game. Enter 58.5 into the box marked Win % and press the button marked % --> Line. Presto! Now you can compare the number that appears in the "Line" box (-40.9) and see if you've got an edge on the actual money line. |
To convert a money line into winning probability: Say you're looking at a -178 money line and would like to see what kind of chances your book is giving this team. Enter -178 into the box marked Line and press the button marked % <-- Line. Presto! Now you can compare the number that appears in the "Win %" box (64%) and see if you've got an edge on the actual money line. |
